New Patent Pending Design
Several design alternatives have been tested and so far the strongest material we can find to prevent the foam from ripping and tearing during installation is the current mylar film. Silent Blue® is now offered with a needle-hole design on the mylar side for better transfer of heat when used over radiant heat systems. Since the closed cell foam is already moisture proof, the new design does not affect the moisture resistant qualities. It must be installed with the gloss (shiny) side up.
