One test we tried was taking a 2' x 2' piece of SILENT BLUE™ , folding up the edges and filling it with approximately a liter of water, then hanging it from a pallet rack post. We monitored it daily at first, then weekly. Now it's still hanging there in our warehouse after several months and still holding water. Water has never penetrated the pad.
Another test we like to use is to compare sound insulation properties to other pads. We glue a piece of SILENT BLUE™ to a piece of laminate, about 5 or 6 inches of laminate and the pad should be the same size. We then took as many of our competitors pads as we could find and also glued them to pieces of laminate. All the pieces were the same size. We then bounced golf balls about 1 inch above the laminate to hear the difference. So far we have only found 1 pad that compares and it sells for about 60% more!
